Terms of Service

1. What you are signing up for

iCan Study is an AQA GCSE English Language revision web app with examiner-voice marking, mastery tracking, and accessibility tools. Subscriptions are billed monthly at £24.99 unless otherwise stated. The current plan and any future changes are shown on your account page when you are signed in.

2. Free trial

We offer a 7-day free trial. A valid card is required to start the trial. We do not charge the card during the trial period. At the end of the trial, the card is automatically charged £24.99 and the subscription becomes active unless you have cancelled before then.

You can cancel during the trial at any time, free of charge, from your account page. If you cancel during the trial, your access continues until the trial end date and then expires without further charge.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time, with one click, from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until that date, then access stops without further charge.

We do not bill any cancellation fees.

4. Refunds

We do not offer refunds once a monthly charge has been taken. You retain access until the end of the billing period you have paid for. If you believe a charge is in error or you have been affected by exceptional circumstances, email hello@icantutoring.com and we will look at it personally. We will not issue refunds for simply not using the product during a billing period.

5. Use of the product

Each subscription is for a single learner. Account sharing between students is not permitted. School and tutoring group plans are available; email hello@icantutoring.com for those.

The marker uses AI to generate feedback calibrated to the official AQA mark scheme. We do everything we can to make that feedback accurate and useful, but it is not a guarantee of any specific grade in a real exam. Use it alongside your teacher's feedback, not in place of it.

You agree not to use iCan Study to submit content that is illegal, threatening, harmful to others, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

6. Data and privacy

How we handle your data, the lawful bases we rely on, the sub-processors we use, and your rights under UK GDPR are all set out in our Privacy Notice.

In short: we store only what we need to run the product, your answers are sent to Anthropic for AI marking (they do not train on them), Stripe handles payments (we never see your card), and you can delete your account at any time from the Account page or by emailing hello@icantutoring.com.
